Comic Duncan Norvelle, famed for 'chase me' catchprase, dies at 66
Comedian Duncan Norvelle, famous for his iconic "Chase me" phrase, has passed away at the age of 66, according to his agent.
His management team honored him with a statement that read: "Duncan was truly a comedic genius and a British legend who was ahead of his era, and he had a deep passion for the entertainment industry."
We took care of Duncan and brought his album Music From My Life back to the public, but more importantly, he became a dear friend. His absence will be profoundly felt in the entertainment industry.
A well-known figure on British television during the 1980s, Norvelle, who hails from Leicestershire, featured on numerous programs like Surprise Surprise, Wogan, and the Keith Harris Show.
He became well-known after appearing on the ITV variety program Saturday Royal in the early 1980s. More recently, he has been featured on a special episode of Come Dine with Me and on Pointless Celebrities.
A message shared on his Facebook account, written by his partner Lynn on Thursday, stated: "With heavy hearts, my family and I are saddened to inform you of Duncan Norvelle's passing this morning at 8:15 AM."
"Duncan left us quietly with me and my daughter Yasmin by his side. Rest in peace, our beloved comedy legend. You will be truly missed."

Fellow comedians are starting to pay their respects, including Jim Davidson, who posted on X: "Rest in peace, Duncan. You were, and will always be, a true comic."
Comedian Jimmy Cricket shared, "Duncan had a magnetic presence and captivated audiences all over the country with his unique sense of humor and funny imitations. He was also a person with an unyielding spirit! Rest in peace, my old friend."
Norvelle, who had a stroke in 2012, was taken to the hospital two weeks ago.
