Dubai weather

Dubai's climate and weather patterns

Dubai has a desert climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The temperature varies greatly throughout the year, with the average daily high temperature reaching into the 40s (Celsius) in the summer months of June through September. The humidity during this season is also quite high, making it feel even hotter.

During the winter season, which spans from December through February, temperatures are much more pleasant, with daily highs typically in the mid to low 20s (Celsius). It is also the rainy season in Dubai, though rainfall is generally quite light. Visitors to Dubai should be prepared for temperature extremes and should pack accordingly, regardless of the season.

Weather-related activities in Dubai

Despite the extreme temperatures, there are plenty of weather-related activities to enjoy in Dubai. During the summer months, indoor activities such as shopping in Dubai's many air-conditioned malls or visiting indoor theme parks like IMG Worlds of Adventure are popular. Ski Dubai, located inside the Mall of the Emirates, offers visitors the chance to ski or snowboard indoors.

In the winter months, outdoor activities become more appealing, and visitors can take advantage of the mild temperatures by exploring Dubai's natural beauty. Hiking in the Hajar Mountains or visiting the Al Qudra Lakes are popular options. Visitors can also enjoy water activities such as sailing or kayaking along Dubai's coast.
