There is no clear reason why Doge has taken over Twitter
I'm not sure if you heard, but last autumn Elon Musk took charge of Twitter. To be honest, I didn't expect to see the website taken over by images of Doge. However, that's exactly what's happened. Starting from Monday afternoon, when you load Twitter on a web browser, you'll see an icon showing Kabosu. Kabosu is a Shiba Inu and the inspiration for the famous Doge meme. Instead of the usual blue bird icon representing Twitter, you'll see Kabosu on the loading screen and main interface.
Despite sharing a not-so-funny meme, Musk has yet to provide any explanation regarding the $20 billion website that he acquired for $44 billion. Engadget attempted to reach out for comment via Twitter, but was met with a poop emoji in response. It is now April 3rd, leading many to question if this was an April Fool’s Day joke or not. Some speculate that Musk may be trolling the investors who are suing him for $258 billion over allegations of running a Dogecoin pyramid scheme, but this would be a peculiar legal strategy, especially since Dogecoin's value recently rose to 10 cents due to this publicity stunt. We'll likely have to wait for another leak to understand how this situation came to be.
