Reporters from BBC Sport are currently covering the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Novak Djokovic easily defeated Denmark's Holger Rune to advance to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon for the 15th time. He then criticized the fans for being disrespectful towards him.

Even though he seemed to be dealing with a stomach problem, Djokovic managed to defeat the 15th seed with a score of 6-3 6-4 6-2 on the lively Centre Court.

Rune had a lot of support from the crowd, with many people cheering for him loudly and chanting his name. Djokovic mistakenly thought they were booing him, which made him upset.

"They were not showing me respect," Djokovic said.

I refuse to believe that excuse. Even though they were supporting Rune, that doesn't justify them also jeering.

I have been in this industry for over 2 decades, so believe me when I say, I am well-versed in all the ins and outs. You won't be able to outsmart me.

The athlete, who is 37 years old, is aiming to win his eighth Wimbledon championship and set a new record by winning his 25th Grand Slam title.

He will face off against Alex de Minaur in the next game, as he secured his spot in the quarter-finals by defeating Arthur Fils from France with a score of 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

The most exciting moment during the men's singles match happened when American player Taylor Fritz made an incredible comeback after losing the first two sets, ultimately defeating the fourth seed Alexander Zverev.

Prior to the final match on Centre Court, Djokovic expressed that there would be an exciting showdown when he goes up against Rune.

The Danish player had beaten Djokovic on two occasions in the past, which helped solidify his status as one of the up-and-coming players in the sport.

Yet, he hardly posed a challenge to the second-ranked player in this match, unable to take advantage of only two break point opportunities.

With Djokovic still wearing a brace on his right knee after his surgery in June, he had a strong beginning to the match, winning the first 12 points and taking a 3-0 lead.

Djokovic appeared to have difficulty with a stomach issue at the beginning of the second set, holding his stomach and pausing to take deep breaths during breaks in play.

Nevertheless, he managed to take command for the rest of the game and clinched the easy win in just over two hours.

Fritz Makes Dream Comeback To Defeat Zverev

In the tennis tournament, Fritz, who was seeded 13th, won a tough match against his German opponent Zverev. Fritz won the match with a score of 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 on Centre Court before Djokovic played his match later in the evening.

Zverev was hoping to make it to the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time and successfully held off any break points in the first two sets.

However, Fritz, who is 26 years old, was able to be the first player to successfully win a game against Zverev's serve in this competition during the third set. He then narrowly won the fourth set, leading to a final deciding set in the match.

Zverev had a bandage on his left knee after slipping during his third-round victory over Britain's Cameron Norrie. As Zverev's energy waned, Fritz was able to secure a crucial break in the fourth game of the deciding set.

Fritz is heading to his second Wimbledon quarter-final, after previously losing to Rafael Nadal in a five-set match two years ago. This will be his fourth time reaching the quarter-finals in a Grand Slam tournament, but he has never advanced beyond this stage.

Zverev was so close to winning in the third set but now he has lost in the fourth round of Wimbledon three times, just like in 2017 and 2021.

"I couldn't believe I was able to pull off that comeback on Centre Court, trailing by two sets in front of all these fans. It feels like a dream come true," expressed Fritz, celebrating his third career victory after being down two sets.

Even though I was losing two sets, I believed I was performing exceptionally well. All I could think about was how frustrating it would be to play so impressively and still end up losing without winning a single set.

This is my second time in the quarter-finals, but this time I feel like I worked harder for it, so I am really looking forward to the opportunity.

Summary: Fritz's surprise victory over Zverev was a notable moment in the match.

Lucky Loser's Impressive Run Halted By Musetti

Two out of three isn't bad - Perricard & Musetti serve up delicious hot dogs.

Up next for Fritz is a match against Lorenzo Musetti, who made it to his first Grand Slam quarter-final by defeating lucky loser Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard earlier today.

In the match, the 25th seed Musetti from Italy had a tough time against his strong-serving French rival during the initial set. However, he was able to change his strategy and eventually came out with a victory, with the final score being 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.

The loss marked the end of a remarkable streak for Mpetshi Perricard, who was aiming to be the first wild card player, male or female, to make it to the singles quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament.

After winning, Musetti expressed his emotions by saying, "Today is an incredible day for me."

On his 21st birthday, Mpetshi Perricard put on a show for the crowd at the court. He impressed everyone with his skillful trick shots and powerful serves.

He was defeated in the last round of qualifying but then got another chance to play in the main draw because some players withdrew. He showed remarkable improvement, but ultimately couldn't beat Musetti.

Musetti, who is 22 years old, expressed his joy by saying: "Since I was young, I have always dreamed of this moment. I am grateful for my loving family who has always been there to support me."

Musetti's victory adds to his strong performance on grass courts, where he previously came in second to Tommy Paul at Queen's Club just a month ago.

Australian player De Minaur, seeded ninth, secured his spot in the quarter-finals for the first time with a strong victory over Fils on Court One.
