Novak Djokovic only needs one more victory to update the number on his sneakers from 24 to 25.

In order to achieve his goal of winning his 25th major title and tying the record for most Wimbledon wins, Djokovic will need to defeat Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final on Sunday to surpass Margaret Court.

One year after Alcaraz beat the Serb in a thrilling five-set final that dashed Djokovic's hopes of a calendar Grand Slam, the two competitors will face off once again for the title. Alcaraz, who is 21 years old, currently has a 3-2 advantage over Djokovic, who is 37 years old.

In the second match, Djokovic defeated Musetti in a precise manner with a score of 6-4, 7-6(2), 6-4. This victory secured his spot in the final, where he will face Alcaraz. It is Djokovic's 37th Grand Slam final and his 10th Wimbledon final, just two behind Federer's record of 12. Despite undergoing meniscus surgery recently, Djokovic's strong performance has allowed him to push through and reach this stage of the tournament.

Alcaraz, a three-time winner of major tournaments, defeated the fifth-seeded Daniil Medvedev in four sets in the first semifinal match. This victory marked his thirteenth consecutive win at Wimbledon and his thirteenth consecutive win at a major tournament.

"I am extremely content, thrilled, and joyful to have reached another finals, but I am not content with just that," Djokovic expressed while on the court. "I am optimistic that I will be able to win the trophy on Sunday."

Inquired whether he was unsure after his knee operation, he replied:

I had a lot of uncertainty when I arrived in London 8 days before the tournament began. I wasn't sure if I would even be able to participate. I kept my options open until the draw was announced. I played some practice matches with top players and exhibition matches, which reassured me that I was in good enough shape to perform well. I had mentioned that if I didn't feel confident about my chances of going far in the tournament, I wouldn't have played. That mindset never left me. I am incredibly grateful to all the members of my team for helping me reach this point.

According to one report, the starting price for tickets to the men's final is expected to exceed $10,000.

Djokovic has made it to the final match in three different major tournaments a total of 10 times at the Australian Open, 7 times at Wimbledon, and 4 times at the U.S. Open.

The Serbian player should be feeling refreshed for the championship match because he advanced to the semifinals without playing a match due to Alex De Minaur's hip injury. He then defeated Musetti in straight sets.

In the match against Musetti, Djokovic secured the first set by capitalizing on an early break and drawing from his wealth of experience in important semifinal matches.

Following being behind 1-3 in the second set, Djokovic quickly won 12 out of the next 16 points to take the lead at 4-3.

Musetti showed bravery by winning a set point with strong play from the back of the court, which led to a tiebreak. Djokovic quickly took a 4-1 lead in the tiebreak and finished it off with a forehand shot and overhead smash in the unoccupied area of the court.

Djokovic once again secured a break at the beginning of the third set to take a 2-1 lead.

Musetti managed to maintain his serve and made a comeback after being down 3-5 and facing three break points in the third set, bringing the score to 4-5.

Djokovic sealed the victory on his fourth opportunity to win the match, as Musetti hit a backhand shot that went out of bounds.
