Whyte is now able to continue his profession since it was discovered that a contaminated supplement was responsible for his positive drug test, which occurred before his fight against Anthony Joshua in August. Throughout the process, Whyte maintained his innocence.

On St. Patrick's Day, in Castlebar, Ireland, the 35-year-old fighter defeated Hammer in a short amount of time. The Romanian-born opponent was removed before the fourth round.

During the beginning of the match, Whyte dealt several body blows and didn't let up during the following three minutes. He remained in control of the situation.

In the third round, the Brixton fighter displayed some unruly behavior, but it appeared that Hammer had already sustained injury and was unable to return to the fight. Hammer, who has been defeated by boxers such as Joe Joyce, Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury, and Luis Ortiz, has recorded 27 losses alongside his 11 wins.

"By winning his latest fight, Whyte has achieved a professional record of 30 victories and 3 losses. The only times he has been defeated were against formidable opponents like Tyson Fury, Alexander Povetkin, and Joshua."

Whyte got his revenge on Povetkin after losing to him in the fifth round in August 2020. This time, in their rematch a year later, Whyte won by stopping the Russian in the fourth round.

The British person has achieved two consecutive wins, with their most recent victory over Hammer on Sunday. Prior to this, they had won by majority-decision against Jermaine Franklin 16 months prior at Wembley Arena.

In an interview with Sky Sports prior to his Hammer matchup, Whyte expressed his desire to have another opportunity to contend for a world title. His objective is to achieve this.

"I've accomplished almost all that boxing has to offer. I've experienced both success and failure. All that's left is to secure a world title victory, which would be the ultimate achievement."

In April of 2022, Whyte competed against Fury for the WBC championship, but unfortunately, he was defeated by TKO in the sixth round.
