Falklands flagged Sir David Attenborough prepares for its Antarctic summer expedition

After finishing its journey in the Arctic, the icebreaking vessel named Sir David Attenborough has arrived at the port of Harwich. It will now undergo the process of welcoming its fresh crew and getting ready for the upcoming austral summer assignment that will take place in Antarctica.

On Sunday, the ship named Sir David Attenborough and carrying the flag of the Falkland Islands, obtained supplies at Parkeston Quay in order to gear up for its upcoming journey.

The vessel, which is considered as one of the top-notch polar research ships globally, is planned to undergo refurbishment in Rosyth.

The item will stay for a period of seven days before it sets off to Southampton. Afterwards, new individuals will board the item and it will proceed to make its way to the Falkland Islands.

More crew members will board the ship at that location to embark on the upcoming expedition to Antarctica.
