Wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista, 55, has lost a lot of weight. Fans were shocked to see how slim Dave looked at the premiere of his new movie The Last Showgirl at the Toronto International Film Festival. Dave Bautista Sheds Pounds
A user on X platform posted two photos of Dave Bautista. In one photo from 2022, he appears to be very muscular. In the other photo from his 2024 appearance at TIFF, he looks very slim, wearing a black suit with pearl necklaces and dark sunglasses. The caption asked, "What's going on with Dave Bautista?"
On the other hand, some users argued that Dave's changes in appearance can be attributed to both his natural ageing process and his transition from being a wrestler to an actor. One user noted, "He used to be a wrestler and now he's an actor. He's excelling in both stages of his life." Another user pointed out, "Batista is 55 years old. It's normal for someone to lose muscle mass as they age."
"He's evolving into a top actor who lets his performances speak for themselves. He isn't content with only being in action or shooting films, he truly wants to showcase his acting skills. From being a wrestler, he focused on sculpting his physique for that role, but now he has shed the weight and transformed himself," remarked one commenter, as another added.
Dave Bautisa's Weight Loss Journey
During a recent chat with Chris Van Vliet, Dave got real about his weight loss journey. "I'm getting super lean, this is probably the lightest I've been since I was 19 years old," Dave revealed. "The heaviest I've ever been is 370 lbs. When I started Deacon, I was around 325 lbs. For most of my wrestling career, I hovered around 290 lbs. Now I'm sitting at about 240 lbs. A year and a half ago, during Knock at the Cabin, I hit 315 lbs. And that's when the struggle began. Shedding that weight has been tough. Now, I'm really careful about my diet," he explained.
Dave Bautista will appear in the upcoming film The Killer's Game, alongside Sofia Boutella. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on September 13th.
