Luke Littler beats Luke Humphries in final-leg thriller in world final repeat at Dutch Darts Masters
Young talent Luke Littler secured a well-deserved victory over current world champion Luke Humphries in a thrilling final round of the quarter-finals in the Dutch Darts Masters competition.
The two opponents met for the first time since their exciting World Championship final on the 3rd of January. This time, Littler won and is now one step closer to winning his second World Series title within two weeks.
Littler made a comeback from being two goals down to earn a 6-5 victory, advancing to the semi-finals at De Maaspoort in Den Bosch. In the meantime, Humphries, the number one player in the world, who aimed to win his first World Series championship, was on the verge of exiting the tournament in the last eight.

Littler expressed contentment with his performance as he shared with ITV, saying, "I am satisfied with how I played. Initially, I was leading by two points but I became less attentive in the next four rounds. However, I managed to get back on track and perform well in terms of my finishing and scoring, which is why I'm very content right now."
Humphries Loses To Littler In World Final Rematch
Humphries advanced to the quarter-finals on Saturday by defeating Jermaine Wattimena with a score of 6-0, leaving no chance for his opponent. Littler, who had won the previous week's tournament in Bahrain, also had a strong victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode, winning with a score of 6-2.

Littler, who was playing darts, successfully hit the D20 target in the first leg to maintain their position. This was done with a 16-darter after Humphries failed to hit the double target on two occasions. Littler continued to impress by hitting the top targets twice to achieve a 105 score and break the world No 1 who was not playing their best.
The champion of the Bahrain Darts Masters from the week before had two chances to get ahead by three legs, but didn't take advantage. This gave Humphries the chance to break back by hitting D3, and then the world champion held in the next leg to make the score even again.
Humphries successfully completed an 83 score and then added a 108 score to achieve his fourth consecutive leg. Littler was able to cease this streak by scoring two consecutive legs with 14 darts each, tying the game at 4-4.
Littler took the lead by scoring 36 points in a 14-dart game. However, he failed to secure the victory as he missed three chances to win in the following round, which gave Humphries the opportunity to even it up. In the final round, the upcoming player Humphries demonstrated his skills by achieving an outstanding win by scoring 88 points through the bullseye.

Littler and Humphries are scheduled to meet once more on Thursday as they bring the quarter-final events to a close during the BetMGM Premier League's inaugural evening in Cardiff.
The current champion Van Gerwen is starting his attempt to win an eighth Premier League championship in a row. His opponent in the opening match is the previous year's world champion, Michael Smith. Meanwhile, Peter Wright will face Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price will go up against Nathan Aspinall in their opening matches.
