Man fights for life after falling from Dartford Crossing

A male individual is in a severe state due to plummeting from the Dartford Crossing.

The police received a call earlier today (September 28) just before 8am, stating that a man's safety was at risk and they were worried about him.

According to a representative from Essex Police, they received a notification about a matter of wellbeing at the QEII Bridge situated on the Dartford River Crossing.

The Essex Police helped out the Kent Police and HM Coastguard in retrieving a man from the water who had suffered severe injuries.

The gentleman has been transported to a medical facility where he is currently in an extremely serious state.

The RNLI team from Gravesend was dispatched to provide aid.

The surface of the bridge that people walk or drive on is elevated to a height of 200ft.

The flow of vehicles was briefly halted as the necessary emergency measures were carried out by the authorities.
