Fury makes radical change ahead of boxing return against Darren Till
The 25-year-old is gearing up to step back into the ring for the first time in nearly 15 months at Co-Op Live in Manchester on January 18, 2025.
Till is a skilled MMA fighter with a record of 18 wins and 5 losses. Out of his total victories, five were achieved in the UFC. Additionally, the 31-year-old secured his sole boxing match to date by defeating Mohammad Mutie in an exhibition fight back in 2021.
The two fighters, who had a heated exchange at a chaotic press conference on Tuesday, are set to compete in eight rounds of three minutes each, using 10oz gloves. However, Till has made it clear that if he finds himself trailing on the scorecards, he won't hesitate to deliver a kick “straight to the face” of his opponent.
In an interesting development, Fury has announced that the bout will be categorized as a heavyweight match, which means there will be no restrictions on how much either fighter can weigh.
Tyson Fury's highest recorded weight was 189 pounds during his match against Jordan Grant in 2021. However, the former Love Island contestant now has the opportunity to weigh in at over 200 pounds.
