WWE Crown Jewel 2024: Results And Highlights
Cody Rhodes and Gunther in WWE
Thank you for joining us for Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
Rather than organizing matches for the premier men’s and women’s titles, WWE has chosen to have the current champions compete against one another to crown the inaugural champions at Crown Jewel in the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
These titles won’t be defended in the same manner as the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships, which have their regular title matches. Instead, they will be awarded as a special recognition, much like the King and Queen of the Ring. This is all about claiming bragging rights.
The card featured five additional matches along with the typical exciting activities associated with premium live events, which included contests for the United States Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championship.
Let’s examine all the events that took place at this year's Crown Jewel.
The Crown Jewel Card: A True Treasure
Here is the complete roster for this year's Crown Jewel event:
WWE kicked off the Crown Jewel premium live event with the Bloodline Civil War, featuring a six-man tag team match between the different factions of The Bloodline led by Reigns and Sikoa. Although Tanga Loa didn't participate in the match, he was still in attendance.
The audience in Riyadh went wild for The Tribal Chief and The Usos. It took about 20 minutes to get through the show's opening and their entrances, which meant the match was delayed for a bit before starting.
Jey and Tama kicked off the match for their respective teams, playfully teasing one another with each move they made. Jimmy managed to make the first tag of the match, marking the first time The Usos have tagged in together in nearly a year and a half, but he could only secure a two-count.
When Reigns requested a tag, Jey chose to tag in his brother instead. It was becoming clear that tensions were rising as Solo entered the match.
This match followed the typical style we've come to expect from The Bloodline since it began. It wasn't focused on high-level wrestling techniques or risky maneuvers. Instead, the emphasis was on the narrative they were conveying. It truly embodies the essence of Sports Entertainment.

That said, we don’t want to undermine the hard work of the six contenders competing. Everyone did their best to create an enjoyable experience, but it wouldn’t be true to say that this was the most thrilling or fiercely contested match from the event.
With all that considered, everything unfolded just as it should have. The new Bloodline worked well together as a unified team, whereas the original Bloodline struggled with problems related to communication and trust.
The OTC and The Street Champ entered the ring simultaneously and started exchanging blows. Both fighters withstood each other's strongest hits, but in the end, it was Sikoa who triumphed, defeating Reigns with a series of three powerful Samoan Spikes.
After the match concluded, Sikoa and his group kept attacking Reigns and The Usos. Suddenly, Sami Zayn's entrance music played, and he confidently walked down to the ring. Sikoa opened his arms as if for a hug, inviting Zayn to join him, but instead, Zayn delivered a powerful exploder suplex.
Zayn unintentionally kicked Reigns after Sikoa dodged the blow. Meanwhile, Jey, Jimmy, and Sami were caught up in a heated argument while Reigns struggled to regain his composure.
Outcome: The New Bloodline triumphed over the OG Bloodline.

Belair, Cargill & More: Tag Team Showdown
The women's tag team championship was on the line in a Fatal 4-Way match that included teams from both NXT and the main roster.
Belair and Cargill entered the match as the reigning champions, but they faced some tough challenges ahead. The EST and the Genius of the Sky kicked off the action, with the rule allowing any team member to enter the ring at any moment. As a result, they were careful to steer clear of the corners where their opponents were stationed.
Sky ventured a bit too near, prompting Green to step in. After that, the match transformed into a flurry of rapid tags and back-and-forth interactions among all four teams.
There were a couple of mistakes during the performance, but overall, most of what the artists showcased was impressive. Cargill and Legend delivered some solid strikes that felt quite powerful, leading to a fantastic series of actions.
As usual, Green and Niven were the stars of the show with their funny antics, but it's clear that all four teams left this competition in high spirits. The audience was definitely engaged, which is generally a positive sign.

The last part of the match had some bumps along the way, but Belair and Cargill managed to keep their titles by finishing off Niven with their signature move. While it was entertaining, it wasn’t without its issues.
Outcome: Belair and Cargill maintained their positions.

Seth Rollins Faces Bronson Reed In Showdown
Reed and Rollins competed in an unofficial match. The language used suggests that WWE does not endorse this fight and is not accountable for any outcomes that may occur.
Rollins came out as cheerful and upbeat as always, while Reed displayed his typical expression of contempt as he made his way to the ring. However, he didn't even get to the midpoint of the ramp before The Visionary confronted him to start the battle.
Rollins relied on his quickness to put the larger opponent on the defensive, but he allowed Reed enough time to regain his composure. Consequently, Reed tossed him over the barricade, landing him in an office chair near the timekeeper’s area. Eventually, they made it back into the ring, and the match officially began when the bell rang.
As the Visionary endured a relentless attack from the former North American champion, bruises started to appear on his back. Despite his efforts to fight back, it seemed like Reed matched him in both stamina and resilience.
This was WWE offering Reed a significant chance. A one-on-one match at a major event against a former world champion multiple times is the opportunity he has been looking for to showcase his skills.
Reed appeared almost monstrous as he easily brushed off some of Rollins' most powerful techniques, and the audience was loving every moment. At times, it seemed like the crowd in Riyadh was cheering for him more than for The Visionary.

Despite Rollins having significantly more experience, they effectively portrayed him as the underdog facing a seemingly unbeatable force.
Rollins needed to deliver multiple Stomps, including one from the top rope, to ultimately defeat Reed and secure the victory. This match was quite entertaining and really showcased the big guy as a legitimate contender for the main event scene.
Outcome: Rollins triumphed over Reed.

Liv Morgan Takes On Nia Jax
The first of two championship matches at Crown Jewel was about to take place, featuring Morgan and Jax battling for the massive title that will stay in Saudi Arabia.
Morgan burst into action right after the referee signaled the start of the match, launching a dropkick. She aimed to take the battle to Jax, but was quickly taken down to the mat by a powerful headbutt.
This match was set up like the classic battle between the underdog and the powerhouse. With both women playing the villain roles, the audience was neutral at first and didn't root for either one. However, Morgan soon started winning them over by showcasing her determination and resilience.
Tiffany Stratton rushed in with her Money in the Bank briefcase, but Jax attempted to convince her that it wasn't the right moment. Though she was asked to leave, Tiffany reconsidered her decision. Raquel Rodriguez stepped in to prevent Tiffany from cashing in, but this distraction gave Jax the opportunity to take down both women, as well as her opponent at ringside.

Dom attempted to push the briefcase into the ring, but when the referee went to take it away, Rodriguez knocked Jax off the top rope. This distraction allowed Morgan to capitalize and execute her finishing move, securing the pin and claiming victory.
Triple H was present to hand the championship belt to Morgan, who was visibly emotional. The match itself was quite good, although it felt a bit overdone towards the conclusion. Nonetheless, Morgan's victory was the right choice. While it would have been exciting for Stratton to capitalize on Jax at the finish, allowing Morgan to have her moment felt like the right call.
Outcome: Morgan triumphed over Jax.
