The class was led by Dave Smith, the manager of Kent Women & Girls’ Pathway. He gathered a group of knowledgeable coaches to offer a noteworthy chance to learn for everyone present. The coaching crew included impressive Kent Women off-spinner Megan Belt, well-regarded Southern Vipers & Kent Women player Megan Sturge, Mark Dekker who is the Head Coach of Kent Second XI, and regional talent managers Jennifer Jackson & Lucy Arman from South East Stars. The team also included many boys and girls talent pathway coaches from Kent Cricket.

Every day, the athletes participated in a session where they practiced batting skills under the guidance of Mark Dekker. The fast bowlers were trained by Andy Tutt, who was a famous player in the Kent League and is now a coach for girls' cricket. Meanwhile, Megan Belt and Jennifer Jackson supervised the spin bowlers' training.

Each athlete took part in an assessment of their physical abilities led by Geoff Marshall. Marshall is in charge of Athletic Performance at Sevenoaks School and also works as the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Kent Girls' Talent Pathway. Following the assessment, each player was given specific areas in which they need to improve to enhance their physical development.

During the afternoon, the girls had sessions that centered on particular cricket situations. One of the sessions was about establishing a score on the first day, while the other concentrated on interspersing their shots on the second day. Meanwhile, the third session emphasized the need to hit boundaries. Additionally, the girls joined workshops about sports psychology, tactical consciousness, and creating batting game plans. The most well-liked activity was the Dragon's Den-inspired workshop.

The young ladies were separated into teams and tasked with inventing a fresh game or exercise using the gear that was accessible. They subsequently showcased their plan to the rest of the group, and the trainers designated a victorious squad. The displays and concepts exhibited were absolutely impressive.

Dave Smith, the Kent Women & Girls' Pathway Manager, reflected on the three-day event and expressed how wonderful it was to witness the girls creating new friendships, relishing in the sport of cricket and acquiring new knowledge about the game.

The quality of girls' cricket in Kent is incredibly impressive. This is a positive sign for what lies ahead.

We want to express our gratitude to Sevenoaks School for providing the space for the camp, to Ambition Sports Teamwear for providing the awesome T-shirts, to all the coaches who contributed to the success of the camp, and to the parents who made it possible by bringing their children every day.
