David Kester, the director of Corrie, expressed that they will abandon the typical method of incorporating numerous storylines in order to focus entirely on Reid's story. This decision was made to prioritize and give importance to Reid's narrative.

The director informed Digital Spy that they were only telling one story for the entire week. This is uncommon as it differs from their typical approach.

According to Kester, the plot will showcase the entire community uniting to capture and prosecute Reid for his wrongdoing. The filmmaker referred to this event as a "super soap week," which is typically associated with the most critical point in a lengthy narrative surrounding a prominent character.

During the week dedicated to soap opera, it's noteworthy that there isn't one major daredevil act or a series of them. In fact, the strength of the week lies in the characters themselves being the focus.
