Cooper Koch has opened up about his experience filming a full-frontal nude shower scene in the series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

The 28-year-old actor plays Erik Menendez in the show created by Ryan Murphy, which soared to the top of Netflix shortly after it started streaming on September 19. In one scene from the nine-episode series, Koch's character is shown showering in prison without any clothes on.

Koch has now confirmed that he truly went all out during the shooting of the iconic shower scene.

He revealed this during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where the Bravo host counted down the “top five most memorable full-frontal scenes” in Hollywood.

"Just to clarify, mine wasn't a prosthetic," Koch interjected. Cohen responded, "That was actually going to be my next question. Congratulations, Cooper! You’re quite fortunate, aren't you?"

The Swallowed star then smiled and quipped, “Well, that’s impressive!”

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is a sequel to Murphy's acclaimed 2022 true crime series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. It explores the true story of Erik and Lyle Menendez, two brothers who killed their parents in Beverly Hills in 1989.

The Menendez brothers were found guilty of killing their parents, José and Kitty. They were taken into custody for premeditated murder and a plot to kill outside their home in March 1990 and received life sentences in 1996.

Monsters also addresses the sexual abuse that Lyle and Erik claimed was committed by their father. However, Erik—who is currently serving a life sentence at RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in California with Lyle—has stated that Murphy's series misrepresents their crime and accused the creator of spreading "distressing misinformation."

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Murphy responded to the situation regarding the Netflix series by saying, “I find it intriguing that he has made a comment about it without actually watching the show. I’m aware that he hasn't seen it while being incarcerated. I really hope he gets the chance to watch it.”

He mentioned that “if you follow the show, I believe about 60 to 65 percent” of the scripted storyline focuses on “the abuse and their accounts of what occurred. We handle it thoughtfully and ensure they have a platform to share their experiences openly.”

"The creator of Glee mentioned, 'We share the story from their perspective. We dedicated three years to researching this, and everything we've found is accurate.'"
