Supporters noticed a uncomfortable interaction between Cole Palmer and coach Gareth Southgate after England's 1-1 tie with Denmark.

Palmer was on the bench but didn't get to play when Southgate's team had a disappointing performance.

In the previous Premier League season, 22-year-old Palmer was exceptional, scoring 22 goals and making 11 assists in 33 matches for Chelsea.

England didn't have much energy and definitely needed a new attacking strategy.

Surprisingly, Southgate chose not to use Palmer.

During the game, the TV cameras captured the scene where Southgate tried to shake hands with Palmer, who hardly made eye contact with the manager.

A lot of supporters believed that Palmer had a valid reason to feel upset with Southgate.

One person commented: "I would be angry as well."

Someone else said: "Chilly. Southgate didn't live up to the reputation."

One supporter acknowledged Palmer's reply, commenting, "I don't blame him either."

Supporters argued that Palmer was justified in only giving minimal recognition to England coach Southgate.

Even though Palmer has been performing well for Chelsea this season, he still hasn't been given the opportunity to play at Euro 2024.

Furthermore, another supporter mentioned that Palmer completely ignored Southgate. They commented: 'Barely? He didn't even glance in his direction, my friend is really angry.'

One more supporter commented that the situation: 'Doesn't appear positive...'

Additionally, another supporter criticized Southgate for not giving enough respect to Palmer.

Rewritten: "The appropriate response... made it clear that he had no respect for his skills."

One supporter commented: 'I understand why he feels that way', while another person expressed: 'Anyone would feel upset in that situation.'

Palmer is still waiting for his first appearance in the tournament after being on the bench but not playing when England defeated Serbia 1-0 in their first group match.
