Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis and Ezri Konsa called up to Gareth Southgate's England squad for November Euro 2024 qualifiers
Rico Lewis, Cole Palmer, and Ezri Konsa have received their maiden call-up to the England senior squad.
Palmer, who plays as a forward for Chelsea, and Lewis, who is a defender for Manchester City, have been promoted to the national team for the Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Malta and North Macedonia. They were previously playing for the U21s squad.
In the meantime, Konsa, a defender for Aston Villa who previously won the Under-20s World Cup with England in 2017, has received his very first invitation to join the senior team as a result of his excellent performance with Unai Emery's squad.
The three players take the position of James Maddison, Callum Wilson, and Lewis Dunk, all of whom were unable to join Gareth Southgate's team due to injuries that occurred over the weekend.
All the players that make up the England team are supposed to arrive at St George's Park during the afternoon of Monday.

Jamie Carragher praised Palmer for transferring from the treble-winning team of Man City to Stamford Bridge and becoming the crucial player for Mauricio Pochettino's team. He admired the 21-year-old player and commended his efforts in scoring a penalty at the 95th-minute to tie the game, with a 4-4 result, against his former club.
Palmer transferred to Chelsea for a sum of £40 million in September. He had a defining moment in the fifth minute of added time by scoring a penalty past Ederson. This occurred after Ruben Dias had committed a foul against Armando Broja, who was a substitute.
Rodri believed he had secured the win for City after his drive in the 86th minute, which unfortunately deflected in a strange way. But Palmer remained calm and composed, providing Chelsea with a well-deserved equalizer.

In an interview with Sky Sports following an intense game, Carragher expressed his admiration for a player who left Manchester City. He explained that he finds it disappointing when players stay at prestigious clubs without getting much playing time.
They might brag about their Champions League victory, their three league titles, and their various accomplishments. However, it's well-known that they're simply a player on the team.
Occasionally, they are substitutes in the game. I respect that he transferred to Chelsea as he will feel much happier during the next four to six weeks, even if he did win a medal at Manchester City.
As gamers, deep down inside, we are aware when we earn a medal - when we have contributed significantly to a cause.
Feeling excluded can leave a bad taste in your mouth. However, if he spends the next two to three years at Chelsea and only manages to win a Carabao Cup or a single FA Cup, he'll still feel much happier.
If he keeps up his current pace, he will come to realize that his achievements here outweigh what he accomplished at Manchester City and any medals he may have earned. Honestly, I find this idea to be absurd.
Each member contributes, though it's clear when someone has had a big impact on a team's achievements. Currently, he holds a significant role in the Chelsea team and almost appears to be the leader.
I think he belongs to the batch of players that are pushing hard for a place in England's upcoming summer tournament. His present performance gives a strong indication that he has a high possibility of being chosen for the Euros group.
