Coldplay to release extra 'Infinity Tickets' for affordable access to shows
Fans who weren't able to get tickets to Coldplay's much-anticipated concerts in the UK will have another opportunity this Friday at noon. Affordable 'Infinity Tickets' will be available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
With a cost of £20 each plus a booking fee, the tickets are part of Coldplay's initiative to ensure that their Music Of The Spheres World Tour is available to all fans.
Tickets need to be bought in pairs, ensuring the seats are next to each other, although they can be located anywhere within the stadium.
The band's upcoming concerts in Hull at Craven Park, which is the venue for Hull KR, will take place on August 18 and 19, 2025. These will be the only shows in the UK apart from their 10 performances at Wembley Stadium in London.
Tickets for the Hull performances, which were first made available in September, were snapped up rapidly. This included a special set aside for residents with postal codes HU, YO, DN, or LN.
In line with Coldplay's dedication to supporting local music, they will be giving 10% of all tour earnings to the Music Venue Trust. This charity focuses on protecting independent music venues throughout the UK.
Chris Martin taking the stage with Coldplay
Mark Davyd, the CEO of Music Venue Trust, stated: "Coldplay exemplifies a UK band that rose from small, local venues to achieve global success in stadiums. It's wonderful to see them honor their journey to Wembley by supporting the grassroots music venues that helped them along the way, as well as acknowledging the artists and promoters who are facing increased challenges in developing their own careers."
Thanks to our collaboration with Save Our Scene, who connected us with Coldplay last year, this funding will directly support efforts that help communities nationwide enjoy fantastic live music nearby. The band's backing is crucial in preventing venue closures, facilitating tours, and spreading the joy of live performances to countless fans.
In September, it was announced that Coldplay will be the first musical group to perform for 10 consecutive nights at Wembley Stadium during one tour, surpassing the previous record held by Taylor Swift and Take That.
The group, which includes lead singer Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, drummer Will Champion, and bassist Guy Berryman, originally scheduled six performances at Wembley next year. However, they added four additional shows because of an overwhelming response from fans.
Grammy-winning artist Swift launched her highly successful Eras Tour in 2023 and made history as the first solo performer to take the stage at the venue eight times during a single tour. To celebrate this milestone, the stadium presented her with a custom guitar.
The pop band Take That, famous for their songs like "Patience" and "Greatest Day," held eight concerts at the stadium in 2011.
The popular pop group, recognized for their hits like Clocks, Yellow, and Fix You, is set to perform at Craven Park in Hull next August. They will be joined by a special guest, whose name will be revealed later.
This year, the band took center stage at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night, sharing the spotlight with performers like Little Simz, Nigerian music icon Femi Kuti, and Michael J. Fox, the star of Back to the Future.
The band is set to perform in Australia starting in October as part of their continuing Music Of The Spheres world tour, inspired by their 2021 album of the same title.
The Official Charts Company reports that the album sold more than 160,000 units within just 72 hours, marking the largest opening week for a UK artist since Adele's album 30 launched at number one with 261,000 units in 2021.
