Rangers agree deal to sign defender Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan

Clinton Nsiala

The Rangers team has come to an agreement with AC Milan to acquire Clinton Nsiala through a pre-contract.

The football club will acquire its third player this season on July 1 - a 20-year-old defender originally from France.

The Rangers football team has secured the signature of Jefte, a full-back from Brazil, and has also prolonged the loan of Oscar Cortes on the condition of a future purchase.

The Ibrox team is anticipated to acquire many new players this summer. This is because coach Philippe Clement aims to reconstruct the squad after Celtic's successful season.

When Nsiala was just six years old, he became a part of the youth academy at Cercle Paul Bert de Brequigny. Later on, at 15 years of age, he relocated to Nantes.

The fresh guard served a couple of years in the juvenile divisions of the French top-flight team. He performed exceptionally well, which led him to secure a transfer to AC Milan this year.

Nsiala played for Milan's under-19 team, and they made it to the final of the notable UEFA Youth League last season. He started nine out of the 10 games throughout the competition.

Last season, he participated in various matches with Milan's Serie A team and gained significant expertise by learning under the guidance of coach Stefano Pioli. He was also included in the matchday squad on numerous occasions.

Nils Koppen, who is the recruitment director for Rangers, expressed his enthusiasm about the latest addition of Clinton, a promising young player, to the team.

We have acquired a promising talent who we trust will progress and flourish under our manager, Philippe Clement, and his team.

We are eagerly anticipating Clinton's arrival in Glasgow as we work towards finalizing the team for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
