Who is Claudia Sheinbaum?
Claudia Sheinbaum is a Mexican scientist, politician, and member of the National Regeneration Movement party. She was born on June 24, 1962, in Mexico City, Mexico. She studied Physics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she also earned a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering.
Sheinbaum has served as a delegate of the Tlalpan borough in Mexico City and as Secretary of the Environment of Mexico City. In 2018, she became the first elected female mayor of Mexico City. Her administration focuses on improving public security, mobility, environment, education, and equality. Sheinbaum is known for her commitment to sustainable development, gender equality, and social justice.
