Cher joins Barry from EastEnders in the Queen Vic for incredible duet of 'I Got You Babe'

The actor from 'Believe' surprised people at the pub in the latest video with popular actors from EastEnders.

Cher surprising showed up in Albert Square to perform her popular song 'I Got You Babe', while many well-known faces from EastEnders watched with surprise.

The 78-year-old musician went on stage with Barry at the Queen Vic to perform her hit song from 1965, while Mo Harris, Janine, and Pat Butcher looked on.

The video has been shared as a promotion for UKTV, featuring Cher making appearances in various popular shows on the channel such as Masterchef, Mad Men, and Red Dwarf.

The commercial starts with marketing professionals presenting UKTV's latest streaming platform to the celebrity, saying: "Cher, we're excited to introduce the most anticipated entertainment launch of the year, U. And we would love for you to join us in spreading the word!"

"Wait," Cher responds. "I can visualize it clearly."

After that, the commercial continues with Cher performing a version of her popular song in a karaoke-style setting. She is also joined by celebrities like Orlando Bloom and Jimmy Carr in the ad, which ends with her stopping by the iconic Queen Vic pub from EastEnders.

Scott Russell, the creative director at UKTV, shares the story behind the collaboration and discusses how the moment with Cher and Barry at the Queen Vic stole the show.

Russell spoke with the senior producer Leanne Farleigh and suggested having Cher make an appearance on the show. That's what he told TVBEurope.

"And it concludes with a scene of her singing Karaoke with Barry from EastEnders in the Queen Vic. The idea of them performing together would be absolutely wild."

The dream quickly became a reality, and Cher was on set making appearances in a variety of unusual shows.

Russell explains that she spent six hours in the location, and they were prepared with all the necessary equipment to keep the shoot moving smoothly. They constantly changed her position to capture different angles.

Cher has collaborated with Barry from EastEnders for a television commercial on UKTV.

"She was incredibly talented. It was surprising to see her transform into a celebrity like Cher, being in a studio in West London surrounded by props. We even had a custom MasterChef apron made for her, personalized with her name on it."

Everyone kept telling me that she wouldn't do it, but she simply responded with, "Okay, no issue."

We only managed to film Cher a few times for each scene. We quickly set up each shot and then moved on, while Cher was casually chatting with everyone on set. She was very approachable and easy to talk to.
