Cher accused of ‘hiring four men to kidnap’ her son Elijah Blue Allman
Singer Cher has been charged with allegedly employing some men to abduct her child from a hotel where he was residing with his spouse the previous year.
According to legal papers submitted by Marieangela King, the spouse of Elijah Blue Allman, four males reportedly “took away” him from their hotel room in New York during their anniversary celebration in November 2022.
The couple was supposedly staying at the hotel to try and resolve their marital issues, following Allman's divorce filing in 2021.
The Standard has reached out to Cher and Marieangela King's representatives to gather their comments.
Ms. King mentioned in court records that she and Mr. Allman stayed in a hotel for 12 days to try and fix their marriage, as seen by MailOnline as part of their divorce proceedings in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Marieangela King (pictured) tied the knot with Elijah Blue Allman in 2011, and they have been together ever since.
However, in a court statement made in December 2022, she alleged that on our wedding anniversary night of November 30, 2022, four individuals came to our hotel room in New York and took [Mr Allman] away. This occurred after we had spent 12 enjoyable days together in the city.
According to her claim, one of the four men who took him stated that they were employed by [Mr Allman’s] mother.
According to the legal papers, Ms King stated that her spouse had been undergoing medical care at a healthcare center since August of 2022. However, she asserted that she had not been informed about the location of the facility and had no way of getting in touch with him.
She mentioned in December that she did not have any knowledge about her husband's safety or location. Additionally, she expressed her anxiety and fear regarding him.
At 47 years of age, Allman happens to be the child of Cher, who is well known for producing the popular song Turn Back Time, and her ex-partner, the deceased rock musician Gregg Allman.
He has talked before about his struggles with drug addiction, stating in an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in 2014 that he started using drugs at the age of 11.
Allman and King, who are both musicians, tied the knot back in 2011 and have been married ever since.
