Confirmed Chelsea line up vs Newcastle

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Reece James, Romeo Lavia, and Cole Palmer are back in the Chelsea starting lineup for today's Premier League match against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

After our midweek victory in the Conference League against Panathinaikos, head coach Enzo Maresca mentioned that he would implement some changes for today’s match. He has kept his promise, making 10 adjustments to the lineup that played in Athens.

Robert Sanchez will be back in goal for the Blues, with Filip Jorgensen on the bench. The defense has a fresh appearance, featuring Reece James as the right-back, with Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill as the center-backs, and Malo Gusto positioned at left-back.

Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia didn't make the trip to Greece, but they have returned to the starting lineup this afternoon after delivering strong performances in our last Premier League match against Liverpool.

Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer are back in our lineup, and the only player to retain his position after Thursday's European game is Pedro Neto.

Nicolas Jackson, who was one of the players not on the trip earlier in the week, rejoins the squad and takes charge of the attack. The Senegalese player has scored five goals in eight matches in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea's lineup includes Sanchez in goal, with James as the captain, joined by Fofana, Colwill, and Gusto in defense. The midfield features Caicedo and Lavia, while the attack consists of Madueke, Palmer, and Neto supporting Jackson up front.

Chelsea's bench players include Jorgensen, Cucurella, Tosin, Veiga, Enzo, Joao Felix, Mudryk, Sancho, and Nkunku.
