Chelsea discover potential UEFA Conference League opponents
Chelsea is aware that they will face one of four teams in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League when they restart their campaign in March.
The Blues secured our advancement by achieving six victories in six matches during the league phase, guaranteeing our top position in the final rankings.
Since we are one of the top eight teams to advance, we skip the knockout round play-offs scheduled for February. Instead, we'll face one of the victorious teams from those matchups in the round of 16 in March.
After today’s draw for the play-offs, we can announce that we will face either Gent, Real Betis, Copenhagen, or Heidenheim in the Round of 16.
Gent will face Real Betis, while Copenhagen goes up against Heidenheim in their two-match series. Chelsea and Vitoria de Guimaraes are set to meet the victors of these matchups. The specific pairings for the Round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals will be revealed during a draw scheduled for February 21, 2025.
As a top-seeded team, we will play the first leg of our Round of 16 matchup away from home on March 6, while the second leg at Stamford Bridge is set for March 13.
