Addison Rae also took the stage alongside Charli and Troye Sivan to perform "Diet Pepsi" live for the first time.
While Charli XCX was performing at Madison Square Garden as part of her co-headlining Sweat tour with Troye Sivan, she was accompanied on stage by Lorde during the show on Monday night.
In an unexpected turn of events, Lorde appeared on stage to perform the remix of "Girl, so confusing" with Charli for the very first time. The duo confidently walked together as they harmonized on the pre-chorus: "People claim we're similar/They say we share the same hairstyle/It's you and me on the currency that the industry enjoys using/And once we wrap this up, the internet will explode/I’m happy to understand your feelings."
Addison Rae took the stage with Charli and Sivan to introduce her latest song, "Diet Pepsi," and to perform their remix of "Von Dutch," which included fresh production by A.G. Cook.
The Sweat tour kicked off on September 14 in Detroit, Michigan, at Little Caesars Arena, and is expected to wrap up on October 23 in Seattle, Washington. Charli and Sivan will make stops in cities like Toronto, Columbus, Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, San Diego, Portland, and several others during their extensive journey.
In October 2018, Charli and Sivan joined forces for the song "1999," featured on Charli's album. Just under a year later, they worked together once more for the follow-up track "2099." This tour promotes Charli's impressive album, "Brat," as well as Sivan's 2023 release, "Something to Give Each Other."
