In the second minute of the Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid match at Wembley Stadium, the Champions League final was disturbed by three people invading the pitch.
While play paused for a throw-in, a guy clothed in a white T-shirt and shorts dashed onto the field and was quickly escorted away from the halfway line by security staff. Meanwhile, someone wearing a dark T-shirt snapped a selfie with Madrid's Brazilian sensation Vinicius Jr. Shortly thereafter, another person sprinted onto the pitch, skilfully evading security for almost a minute before finally being tackled to the ground.
One of the intruders had the term "Mellstroy" printed on their shirt, which seems to be connected to a Russian online content creator.
The occurrence will put both the Wembley Stadium host and Uefa, the governing body of the Champions League, on high alert as they prioritize security measures in light of notable incidents in the past.
