Celtic Beat Rangers 1-0 In Full Time
For the 42nd time, Celtic emerged victorious in the Scottish Cup! This marks their 13th double win of both the league and the cup!
For 90 minutes plus an additional 10, the Celtic team maintained possession of the ball while the time on the clock dwindled.
After playing for 90 minutes, during the +9 additional minutes, O'Riley managed to cause Lundstram to commit a foul. It's highly likely that this would be the very last act Lundstram would make while playing for the Rangers.
The game's been going on for 90 minutes now, and the ball is bouncing around without any direction. It seems like the referee will have to do a VAR check, which might take another minute or so.
After 90 minutes plus seven, Rangers are exhausted and unable to keep up. Meanwhile, the Celtic supporters are celebrating in a festive manner.
Ninety minutes have passed with an additional six minutes, and it appears that the Rangers still have all eleven players on the field. However, time is not in their favor.
After 90 minutes of play, there was a pause as the VAR was consulted to ascertain whether Diomande deserved a red card. In his frustration, Diomande made a few reckless attempts to hit Maeda, but he missed every time.
After 90 minutes of play, Idah was able to win a corner. However, before the corner could be taken, Raskin was replaced by Lundstram. Unfortunately, the corner was unsuccessful and the only outcome was a yellow card for Maeda due to a display of petulance.
After 90 minutes of play plus three additional minutes, the Rangers team hasn't played an outstanding game. However, they have shown themselves as the superior team during the second half of the match. The problem has been that they have failed to make successful passes leading to a goal. Unfortunately, the Celtic team has taken advantage of this weakness and used a classic rope-a-dope strategy to their advantage.
After an hour and a half of play, during the additional two minutes, Kuhn was given a yellow card for a late tackle. Following that, Raskin was also awarded a yellow card for knocking down Idah.
After playing for 90 minutes, something went wrong with Butland and it was a huge mistake. Now, his teammates have to work harder to fix it before it's too late. But they have a little extra time - eight more minutes to be exact. Will they be able to save him?
Celtic Win With Goal In Stoppage Time
Bernardo kicked the ball in the middle of the field and ran towards the goal. He hit the ball hard towards the bottom left corner, but the goalkeeper, Butland, managed to stop it, although he couldn't hold onto it. The ball bounced back towards the field, and Idah was in the right place at the right time to shoot it into the net! This goal could be the one that decides the game!
In 89 minutes, Maeda skillfully receives a diagonal pass and swiftly moves past Tavernier. He makes his way into the box but unfortunately loses control of the ball, which Butland then collects.
In 88 minutes, the Rangers seem to be the better team and have a higher chance of scoring a goal towards the end of the game. Wright makes a spin past Johnston, creating an opportunity for a corner. However, the officials make a different call and award a goal kick instead. This decision causes frustration for Wright, and smoke seems to be coming out of his ears.
In the 86th minute, Raskin aggressively advances through the center of the field and briefly creates a situation where both teams have three players each. He passes the ball to Sima on the right, who unfortunately takes a very poor shot that goes directly to Hart. It was a situation with great potential, but ultimately resulted in nothing significant.
After stating that, Celtic tries to start an attack and Yilmaz is given a yellow card for clutching Johnston's shirt. This happens at the 84th minute mark.
In the 83rd minute, Yilmaz sent a lengthy cross from the left wing. Sima attempted to direct a header towards Hart but the goalkeeper saved it. The Rangers are currently taking control of the game, as they spend most of their time playing in Celtic’s half.
After 82 minutes of play, Tavernier took a corner that was headed behind by Idah at the near post. The corner was retaken, but Idah once again knocked it behind at the near post. On the third attempt, Rangers hoped for better luck, but unfortunately, Hart punched the ball and it was cleared by Bernardo with a hoick.
After playing for 81 minutes, Sterling had to leave the field due to injury and was substituted by McCausland.
The game paused for 80 minutes while Sterling received medical attention before the corner could be taken.
In the 79th minute, Raskin quickly grabbed a ball that was unattended near the Celtic box and charged down the right-hand side. He then sent a low pass across the six-yard box with Sima ready to pounce. Carter-Vickers impressively slid in and deflected the ball away from the left post, preventing an own goal. Although it resulted in a corner, it was a precarious situation that Carter-Vickers managed to handle with skill.
After playing for 79 minutes, Hatate is substituted for Bernardo.
In the 78th minute of the game, Matondo made a graceful spin and moved into an open area in the middle of the field. He then passed the ball towards the right to Sterling. Sterling took a shot, which seemed more like a cross, but it got deflected by the opposing team's player, resulting in a corner. Both Matondo and Sterling could have done better in this situation, as the Celtic team was struggling and off-balance at the moment. Unfortunately, the set piece did not lead to any score either.
After 76 minutes, Wright managed to locate a small gap down the inside-left channel. Nevertheless, instead of taking a shot, he tried to be too fancy and lost the chance for a goal. The result was a goal kick for the opposing team.
After 74 minutes of play, Cantwell and Silva were substituted for Wright and Matondo. As Cantwell exited the field, he received a yellow card for exchanging some unfavourable comments with his friend Taylor. Currently, both teams are demonstrating a display of foolishness and immature behaviour.
After 73 minutes of the game, Taylor is given a yellow card by the referee as he slides through the back of Cantwell and then pushes his opponent who falls on the ground. It doesn't seem like a wise move, does it?
In the 71st minute of the game, Cantwell attempted to pass the ball down the right side of the field to free up Sima, but it wasn't quite successful. However, Cantwell deserves credit for trying. In other news, Kuhn came in to replace Forrest.
After 69 minutes of play, Tavernier successfully earns a corner kick on the right side of the field. Diomande takes on the responsibility of sending the ball into the box, but unfortunately, the Celtic defence is able to handle it without much difficulty.
After 68 minutes, Forrest made a tackle that caused Raskin to be thrown up in the air. As a result, Forrest received another booking. Simon McMahon exclaimed that a fight might occur.
After 66 minutes of play, the audience is totally hyped up. Although, the Hampden crowd wasn't really muted to begin with. On another note, Hart received a yellow card for being critical during the talks about the goal, and Idah was given a similar penalty for the same behavior.
Within 64 minutes, the free kick that was taken did not lead to any score or benefit for the team. Idah, who was substituted into the game by Brendan Rodgers in place of Kyogo, was unfortunately caught in an offside position.
