Carabao Cup

Mauricio Pochettino stated that he will put forward a powerful Chelsea squad during our Carabao Cup fourth round match against Blackburn Rovers at Stamford Bridge.

On Tuesday afternoon, the coach spoke to the press at Cobham and provided an update on injuries. He mentioned that Mykhailo Mudryk had a possibility of playing against Tottenham on Monday, but unfortunately, Christopher Nkunku wouldn't be able to play in that game.

Pochettino declared that Reece James will be participating in the upcoming match against Blackburn, which made him feel pleased.

Pochettino stated that it is certain that he will begin.

The team's captain is all set and prepared to start the match. This is not only beneficial for the team but also for the captain himself. We shall monitor his performance closely and make necessary assessments later on.

The Blues are going up against a Championship team, giving them a solid shot at making it to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. Although, even though they're being predicted to win, Pochettino isn't taking any chances with his choice of players.

I mentioned to you previously, at the beginning of the season, that tournaments such as the Carabao Cup or FA Cup hold great significance for us. Our aim is to field our finest lineup for the upcoming match. However, we have to rest a few players as we cannot afford to take any chances after our game on Saturday. Yet overall, we will strive to secure victory with our strongest squad.

All of the athletes must be fully prepared for tomorrow's match before any decisions are made. We're taking this competition very seriously as we want to make progress and go far. It's an event we believe we can excel in.

We must continue advancing in this competition to gain momentum. Then, we will face Tottenham and Manchester City with the belief that we can emerge victorious. These games are crucial for us to maintain our confidence.

Pochettino was questioned regarding Ben Chilwell's whereabouts. The defender is currently in the process of recovering in Los Angeles and the coach gave an explanation for this decision.

The intention was to modify the situation for him. This is fairly common in various clubs. On occasions when the recovery process takes a while, we tend to alter their surroundings.

Being at this place for 12 hours a day is an excellent way for the player to train and improve their skills. However, it's important for them to seek a change of scenery and environment occasionally to ensure their recovery is optimal. It's challenging to determine when the player will be ready to return.
