United's next Carabao Cup opponent revealed

Next month, Manchester United will go up against Leicester City at Old Trafford in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The matches, which were determined after the third-round match between Liverpool and West Ham United, are scheduled to take place during the week starting on October 28.

This will be our first matchup against the Foxes since February 2023, when the Reds triumphed 3-0 at Old Trafford in a Premier League game.

We secured our spot in the fourth round of the tournament with a convincing 7-0 victory against Barnsley in the last match held at Old Trafford.

During the Tykes' trip to the Theatre of Dreams, the team celebrated an impressive victory with goals from Marcus Rashford (who scored twice), along with Antony, Alejandro Garnacho (who also netted two), and Christian Eriksen (who scored two as well). This performance allowed us to advance in a commanding manner.

It was Altay Bayindir’s first start for United at Old Trafford, following his debut against Newport County in the FA Cup last year. He celebrated this milestone by keeping a clean sheet in the previous match.

That match also marked Manuel Ugarte's first complete start with the Reds.

"In the beginning, it’s important for him to settle into his role, and as a team, we need to establish the correct formation. Once we achieved that, his true abilities became apparent, and he has the potential to significantly enhance both the squad and the team."

United are aiming to secure their seventh title in this tournament, with their last victory coming in the 2022/23 season, which was Ten Hag's inaugural year at the club.

During this part of the campaign, in December 2022, we faced Burnley at Old Trafford and secured a 2-0 victory. The goals came from two players who had both scored twice in the previous match against Barnsley: Eriksen and Rashford.

They aim to have a similar impact next month during our fourth-round match as we pursue the manager's third trophy in three consecutive years.
