A fire tore through a building site in east London, causing injuries to seven individuals who were subsequently transported to a medical facility.

A blaze erupted in a business establishment on the first level, causing huge black fumes to fill the city's atmosphere. The firefighters instructed nearby inhabitants to shut their windows as a precautionary measure.

Seven individuals had to be transported to the hospital via ambulance due to smoke inhalation.

Paramedics provided medical attention to three other individuals present at the location.

Fire experts are currently thoroughly inspecting the area where the fire occurred to gather evidence that can reveal the cause of the fire.

Approximately 70 firefighters arrived at the location in 10 fire trucks after receiving over 30 emergency calls notifying them of the fire.

A representative from The Brigade stated: "Although the fire has been extinguished, we are still present at the location and suggest individuals to refrain from visiting the area at this moment."

A representative stated that the police and fire departments are currently present and conducting a clearance of the nearby buildings.

"If you have been instructed to do so for your own protection, please leave the area."
