Dogs that share a home often display behaviors similar to those of human siblings. They play together, share their toys, and sometimes even bicker. A recent TikTok video has highlighted another aspect of their relationship: dogs can also reveal when their siblings have done something wrong!

Paige, a dog owner popular on TikTok as @iluznpaige, was cozy in bed when her cane corso, Dougie, leaped onto her. He urgently needed her to wake up because there was a commotion happening downstairs, and he wouldn’t leave her side until she got out of bed.

Paige jumped out of bed and made her way downstairs. Dougie watched from the top of the staircase. He understood the situation and felt it was best not to get involved any deeper. She had a sense of what awaited her.

"This happens often," she shared with Newsweek on TikTok. "I was aware that she had taken some food or perhaps torn up a cushion. Usually, it's just an empty wrapper she's grabbed from the trash."

As she rounded the corner, she spotted her other dog with its nose buried in a box of cookies, happily wagging its tail. The pup quickly backed away, attempting to play it cool. Unfortunately for her, she was caught in the act, all because her furry sibling had squealed on her.

This wasn't the first occasion, and it definitely won't be the last. Paige didn't mind Dougie interrupting her sleep, especially since it allowed her to stop the other dog from snacking on cookies.

"He's such a wonderful child, bless his heart," she remarked.

Audiences were thoroughly entertained by the funny TikTok video. By Friday, it had amassed over 270,000 views, garnered 21,000 likes, and received 119 comments.

"How lovely! He's keeping an eye on the house while you rest, so cute," commented one user.

Another person chimed in, "It’s impressive that you recognized right away that he was betraying us."

One person recounted a similar situation: "After my dog figured out what behaviors were off-limits for our cat, we realized we never needed to raise our voices at the cat again. It felt like we had unintentionally brought a little officer into our home."

For anyone concerned about the dog sneaking a bite of the cookies, the owner reassured them that her pup has a "cast-iron stomach" and is perfectly fine. There were just two cookies in the box initially. By the time she went downstairs, one cookie remained in the box while the other was happily clutched in the dog's mouth. Thankfully, the cookie the dog had wasn't chocolate.
