Following an open beta period in August and September, the official launch of Activision's latest installment in the Call of Duty series has arrived.

Black Ops 6 carries on the Black Ops series that started in 2010.

Black Ops 6 is the second title in the Call of Duty series to come out after Microsoft completed its purchase of Activision. Plus, it will be accessible on Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service right from the launch day, which is a great advantage for Xbox players.

As is typical for the Black Ops series within the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 6 will feature a single-player campaign, multiplayer options, and the popular zombies mode.

The game is now available for pre-download and will launch at various times based on your local timezone.

Here's what you should be aware of.

When Will COD: Black Ops 6 Be Released?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on two separate dates. PC players can dive into the complete game starting at 9 PM Pacific Time on Thursday, October 24th, which translates to midnight Eastern Time on Friday, October 25th, and 5 AM in the UK. This release applies to gamers using both Steam and Battle.Net.

If you're a console gamer with an Xbox or PlayStation 5, or a PC player accessing the Microsoft Store, you can start playing the game at midnight on Friday, October 25th, regardless of your location.

How To Play Black Ops 6 Before Release?

Sure, but keep in mind that you’re doing it at your own discretion, even though the risk involved is quite minimal. The "New Zealand" method is a way for gamers to switch their region settings to New Zealand, allowing them to access the game ahead of its official release on Thursday.

Although it's important to proceed carefully, Activision, Sony, and Microsoft have not traditionally penalized players for their enthusiasm in taking these actions.

Playing COD: Black Ops 6 On Game Pass

Black Ops 6 will be the first title in the Call of Duty series to be available on Xbox's subscription service, Game Pass, from the very first day of its release.

If you head over to the Game Pass library today, you can pre-install the game, and it will be all set for you by Friday, October 25th. If the game doesn't appear in the library, simply search for 'Call of Duty' on your console's home screen, locate Black Ops 6, and download it from there.
