Arsenal have not officially contacted Calafiori yet, but the 22-year-old is being considered along with several other players by the team from north London.

Calafiori was on the field for every minute of Italy's matches in the Euro 2024 group stage, but he missed the round of 16 game against Switzerland due to a suspension.

The defender's strong performance in Germany stood out as a positive aspect in the defending champions' disappointing elimination from the tournament.

Calafiori was instrumental in Bologna's qualification for the upcoming Champions League, marking their debut in the prestigious tournament after securing a fifth-place finish in Serie A.

The former Roma player still has three more years on his contract with Bologna.

Although Arsenal would prefer to make a permanent sale at the desired price, they are also considering the possibility of a loan deal that includes an option or obligation to buy for Mikel Arteta's team.

The young player, who is currently 24 years old, played for Luton on loan last season and still has two years remaining on his contract. Everyone involved is eager to finalize an agreement.
