Under the guidance of ex-Liverpool player Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen achieved a resounding victory over Werder Bremen with a score of 5-0 last Sunday, securing the Bundesliga championship without any major difficulties.

With only 5 games left to play, they have a lead of 16 points over Bayern.

This marks the first time that Leverkusen has taken home a trophy since their victory in the German Cup back in 1993.

Fans rushed onto the field as the team scored their fourth goal with only seven minutes remaining. During the last moments, the air was filled with heavy red smoke while the players on the sideline rejoiced by dancing, singing, and embracing each other.

German midfielder Florian Wirtz had a great achievement during the game by scoring his first career hat-trick. This success brought the audience to the pitch, and they celebrated with excitement. Eventually, the extraordinary scene came to an end when the referee concluded the match.

Forward Victor Boniface calmed down any initial jitters when he scored a penalty in the first half, and then Swiss player Granit Xhaka scored a goal from far away to increase the lead to 2-0 with 30 minutes left.

Leverkusen showed no mercy as Wirtz netted the last three goals in a little over 20 minutes.

The team has not lost in 43 consecutive games across all competitions, setting a new record for the longest unbeaten run in a single season of the Bundesliga with 29 matches.
