Three arrested after Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station evacuation
The bus station has been shut down since October 13th.
Three individuals were taken into custody following a police event that led to the shutdown of Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.
The bomb squad was summoned after someone reported a questionable package at Scotland's largest bus terminal around 1:10 PM.
According to BBC Scotland News, the arrests are related to the seizure of dangerous weapons.
The station has been cleared out and is still not open, while Killermont Street nearby has been blocked off to vehicles. Authorities have advised the public to stay away from the area.
As a precautionary measure, Glasgow Caledonian University, located just across the street from the train station, was also evacuated.
A representative from the university mentioned that students will receive updates in a timely manner.
