According to Glenn Gordon Caron, the creator of Moonlighting, Bruce Willis is experiencing difficulty communicating due to his struggles with dementia. Furthermore, Caron noted that Willis' characteristic enthusiasm for life is no longer present.

In February of last year, the family of the famous Hollywood actor known for his role in Die Hard, shared that he had been diagnosed with a type of dementia called frontotemporal dementia (FTD). This update came almost a year after they had previously reported that he would be taking a break from acting due to an earlier diagnosis of aphasia.

After the news of Willis’s illness surfaced in March 2022, Caron shared with The New York Post in a recent interview that he's been making an effort to see the actor on a monthly basis.

Caron shared that she doesn't always have a perfect relationship with Bruce Willis, but she puts in effort to communicate with him and his wife, Emma Heming Willis. She also has a friendly association with Bruce's three older children. Caron emphasized that she has made a conscious effort to remain a part of Bruce's life.

They collaborated on the TV show Moonlighting for five seasons, which was broadcasted from 1985 to 1989, and have continued to be close companions.

What's really astounding about [his illness] is that if you've ever hung out with Bruce Willis, you know that nobody embodied joie de vivre more than him. He truly relished life and woke up each day with enthusiasm and a desire to live it to the max." This was stated by the individual who comes up with content for the Medium blog.

Caron, who visited The Sixth Sense actor, shared his observation that the actor recognizes him within the first three minutes of their meeting. The actor is not very talkative and used to enjoy reading a lot, although he kept it private from others. However, he is not reading anymore.

"He isn't able to use his language skills anymore, but he's still Bruce," he remarked. "However, he doesn't have the same lively spirit as before."

But Caron shared that Willis was still able to communicate with him before his condition got worse and made him unable to communicate. During this time, Caron expressed his desire to bring the successful ABC series back into the public eye.
