The latest episodes of the popular Netflix show are adapted from Julia Quinn's book called Romancing Mr Bridgerton. The novel has served as a source of inspiration for the show since its debut season. Therefore, the initial portion of season 3 shares many similarities with the book. However, there are also several differences between the two mediums.

If you want to know how, then this blog can provide you with all the necessary information. However, it's important to note that there are some revelations about season 3 part 1 which may reveal what happens in the show.

Romancing Mr Bridgerton is a book that focuses on Penelope and Colin as the main characters. The story is told from both of their perspectives. Some parts of the plot have already been shown in the first and second seasons of the show, including the big reveal that Penelope is actually Lady Whistledown.

However, the TV series commences similarly to the novel, with Colin's arrival back in England following his extensive overseas travels, gaining widespread attention among the elite society.

In the book version, there is a thrilling game of figuring out the true identity of Lady Whistledown, with Lady Danbury leading the chase. Despite viewers already knowing that Penelope is the gossip, the characters engage in a cat-and-mouse pursuit to expose the mystery. To liven things up, Lady Danbury offers a handsome reward of £1000 to anyone who can correctly identify Lady Whistledown. Feeling confident, she thinks it's Penelope, but Penelope expertly disguises herself by suggesting that Lady Danbury must be the writer instead.

After a long period of traveling overseas, Colin Bridgerton finally makes his way back to England in the series Bridgerton on Netflix.

The video game is separate from the TV program, but it does tie in with Queen Charlotte's desire to discover the true identity of Lady Whistledown. Penelope's hidden persona remains unknown during the first half of the game, except for Eloise Bridgerton who discovered it in the second season. It's probable that in the second part of season three, the revelation of Penelope's true self and its aftermath will have an impact.

In another part of the story, the third season of the show introduces a fresh love interest for Penelope, named Lord Debling (played by Sam Phillips). The TV series made up this character in order to add some much-needed romantic conflict for Penelope in front of the cameras. This plot point also serves as Colin's motivation to come to terms with the fact that his feelings for Penelope are more than just friendly, as he faces the possibility of losing her if he doesn't make a move.

It turns out that in the book, Eloise and Penelope don't fight like they do in the show. The show added this conflict to make the story more exciting, it seems. However, there are other new storylines in the show, such as Will Mondrich's family gaining more power and status.

In the blog post, it is mentioned that some conversations between Colin and Penelope are taken directly from the book. For example, Penelope discovers Colin's travel journals and compliments his writing skill, just as it is described in the book. Additionally, Colin accidentally injures his hand during this interaction, which is also depicted in the book.

In season 3 of Bridgerton, Penelope and Eloise are in conflict, which is not a storyline found in Julia Quinn's novels. (Netflix)

In the book, Penelope requests Colin to kiss her as she worries she won't ever get to experience it, whereas in the TV series, she breaks things off with Colin first. According to Quinn's book, Colin leaves Penelope after feeling remorseful for kissing her out of sympathy. However, the show version provides Penelope with more authority in the matter.

In the last installment of Part 1, Colin and Penelope have an intense kiss while riding in a carriage and this is also when they express their love for one another in the book. However, the events leading up to this moment are not quite the same in the TV show. In the series, they end up in the carriage after Colin accidentally ruins Penelope's opportunity for Lord Debling to propose to her. Conversely, in the book, their carriage ride happens after Colin uncovers Penelope's true identity as Lady Whistledown.

In the book, Colin discovers that Penelope is the real Whistledown, not Cressida, when he comes across a letter revealing her alter-ego as the notorious gossip. They have a heated argument, as Penelope refuses to let Cressida take credit for her writing and accuses Colin of being hypocritical.

In the novel on Netflix, Colin and Penelope share their first kiss in a similar manner.

Penelope said she wasn't pretty and Colin disagreed, kissed her, and then asked her to marry him. This event happened during a passionate moment in the show.

If you're a fan of the show, you may have noticed that Colin's realization that Penelope is Lady Whistledown is similar to how Eloise uncovers the truth in season 2. That's because the storyline was changed for the series, so we're not sure how Colin will find out in the second part. However, it's possible that Eloise will be the one to reveal it to him.

Part one of the third season of Bridgerton is now available on Netflix, and the second part is scheduled to come out on June 13, Thursday.
