Clevedon Boxing Day run attracts more than 1,000 participants

Boxing Day

Over 1,000 individuals donned colorful and festive costumes to participate in the town's Boxing Day run.

Since 1977, Clevedon Athletic Club has been organizing the four-mile race (6.4 km) in North Somerset. The race director, Andy Heyes, described it as a "huge tradition."

The event on Thursday kicked off at 11:00 GMT at the Little Harp Pub in Clevedon, featuring a 3km run for juniors as well.

Firefighter Ross Larner joined the race and mentioned, "We're always ready to respond, and this has turned into a bit of a tradition; it’s the third year we’ve done it now."
