Clevedon Boxing Day run attracts more than 1,000 participants

Over 1,000 individuals donned a variety of cheerful costumes and participated in a Boxing Day run in the town.

Clevedon Athletic Club has organized the North Somerset four-mile (6.4 km) race since 1977. According to race director Andy Heyes, it has become a significant tradition.

The event on Thursday kicked off at 11:00 AM GMT at the Little Harp Pub in Clevedon, which included a 3km race for juniors as well.

Firefighter Ross Larner participated in the run and mentioned, "We're always ready to respond, and this has turned into a bit of a tradition for us—it's the third consecutive year we've done it."
