Bonnie and Clyde musical film with Jeremy Jordan and Frances Mayli McCann to be shown in cinemas next year

Bonnie and Clyde the Musical, which was first performed at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, is set to hit cinemas next year.

The musical features compositions by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, and a script by Ivan Menchell. It narrates the tale of Bonnie and Clyde, two young people from a small town who rose to fame as infamous legends in American history.

The production, helmed by Nick Winston and captured during two concert performances in January 2022, features Jeremy Jordan, who first took on the character of Clyde Barrow on Broadway in 2011, alongside Frances Mayli McCann, who debuted as Bonnie in the West End.

It is scheduled to be screened in select theaters on May 1, 2025, and is being produced by Showcase Cinemas.

The cast also includes George Maguire taking on the role of Buck, Natalie McQueen as Blanche, Trevor Dion Nicholas portraying Preacher, Liam Tamne as Ted, and Casey Al-Shaqsy as Stella. Additionally, Simon Anthony plays multiple roles: Cop, Bud, Archie, and Deputy Johnson. Gillian Bevan appears as Cummie Barrow/Eleanor, while Eloise Davies plays Trish, Adrian Grove takes on Henry Barrow, and Debbie Kurup is cast as Governor Miriam Ferguson. Other cast members include Matthew Malthouse as Bob Alcorn, Jeremy Secomb as Judge/Sheriff Schmid, Russell Wilcox as Captain Frank Hamer, and Julie Yammanee in the role of Emma Parker.

David Treatman and Brett Sullivan are the producers of this project, while Max Johnson, Adam Paulden, Darren Bell, and Jason Haigh-Ellery serve as executive producers. The musical direction is led by Katy Richardson, with set and costume designs created by Philip Whitcomb. Lighting design is handled by Zoe Spurr, and Tom Marshall takes care of sound design. The production manager is Phil McCandlish, and the company stage manager is Graham Harrison. Anne Baxter is the deputy stage manager, Tom Fisher serves as the assistant stage manager, and dialect coaching is provided by Charmian Hoare. Additionally, children's casting is managed by Keston and Keston.

The group consists of assistant musical director Chris Poon, along with Kate Ingram, Hannah Lawrance, Kobi Pham, Jack Pennifold, Zach Okonkwo, Elliot Lyte, and Annie Blake.
