Damon Albarn unexpectedly showed up at Glastonbury and talked about politics and the conflict between Israel and Hamas as he made a surprise appearance on stage to perform with Bombay Bicycle Club.

The musical group took the stage on the Other Stage earlier today, performing before acts like Anne-Marie, D-Block Europe, and Idles.

Blur and Gorillaz frontman Albarn makes an appearance on Bombay Bicycle Club's upcoming song "Heaven", causing many to wonder if he would also be performing with them at Glastonbury.

They had hinted at a surprise guest without giving away a name, and the @secretglasto Twitter account suggested that the mystery artist could steal the spotlight from Bombay Bicycle Club's performance.

Albarn was the main act at the festival with Blur in 2009 and then with Gorillaz the next year, stepping in last minute for U2 after lead singer Bono hurt his back.

After becoming a member of Bombay Bicycle Club during this year's festival, he addressed the audience on stage about Palestine, the upcoming election, and global affairs.

"Tell me your thoughts on this: are you in support of Palestine? Do you believe the war is unjust?" he asked.

The significance of voting in the upcoming week is crucial, even if you may feel unsure about it. Additionally, perhaps it is time to reconsider having elderly individuals in leadership positions globally.

In an interview with Sky News, Bombay Bicycle Club expressed that their collaboration was completely unexpected.

We never thought he would agree to be on the record or perform at a show with us, but we decided to ask anyway. Surprisingly, he was eager to participate. If you don't ask, you'll never know what could happen.

There was not a lot of time to practice, they explained, only an hour to prepare for the live show. "But, you know, with him, that's all you need."

Kasabian, Liam Gallagher, Harry Styles, Kings Of Leon, and Pulp are all artists who may show up unexpectedly and perform at various stages during the festival.

Bombay Bicycle Club will be one of the bands starting the festival's first complete day of performances, with Dua Lipa headlining the event.

Squeeze were the first to take the stage on Friday, followed by performances from K-pop group Seventeen, Olivia Dean, and The Snuts.

In another location, shortly after welcoming his fourth child, Joe Wicks hosted a workout session and expressed his goal of bringing his workouts to the Pyramid Stage.

"I never would have imagined that a fitness class could take place at a music festival, but the other day I participated in one and was blown away by the 2,000 people who joined in. It was an incredible experience," he shared with Sky News, looking forward to another session scheduled for Friday.

Wicks believes that attendees at festivals are still interested in taking care of themselves.
