Last November, Aurelius acquired The Body Shop International Limited for £207 million. The transaction was finalized at the start of this year.

However, as initially disclosed by Sky, it has been revealed that the organization is expected to enlist FRP Advisory for the bankruptcy of its UK division. This is anticipated to impact approximately 250 retail locations.

During its previous financial year, The Body Shop recorded a loss of £60 million while it was under the ownership of the Brazilian cosmetics conglomerate Natura & Co.

Anita Roddick established The Body Shop in 1976 with a tiny store located in Brighton, United Kingdom. Her primary focus was on bringing ethics into business, which was an innovative idea back then.

The business was purchased by L’Oreal in 2006 and later acquired by Natura &Co in 2017.

At the conclusion of the previous year, it was made known that Aurelius had finalized a deal with the company. During this time, the company stated their intentions to collaborate with Aurelius in order to properly enhance their operations as a collective. Aurelius, boasting their proficiency and familiarity with the diverse worlds of both retail and wholesale markets, will be a valuable asset in achieving this goal.

Together with The Body Shop's well-known brand and history of producing socially responsible goods, this creates a chance to revitalize the company despite the difficult retail industry. By doing so, it can benefit from the upward trends in the rapidly expanding beauty market.

There is a store for The Body Shop located at Westwood Cross.
