In 1976, I desired to get my ears pierced, and my friend, Stephanie, suggested a new store in North Laine, Brighton. Although my ears weren't pierced by Anita Roddick, I had the procedure done at the back of the tiny yet fascinating store filled with small bottles and jars of unique scents. The Margaret Thatcher visitors' book from Downing Street during her reign was not allowed to be sold as it is the nation's property. This decision is ironic because if Thatcher had the same viewpoint during the water industry privatization in 1989, we may have healthier rivers presently. I share Ralph Fiennes' opinion on the use of trigger warnings in theaters (as reported on February 11th). However, I would be disappointed if they were removed from television shows. In the blog post from February 5th about Michael Jayston's passing, there was no mention of his impressive portrayal of Siegfried Sassoon in Mad Jack.
