At the start of the episode, Norris, known for his popularity on The Only Way Is Essex, declared: “No matter how challenging it becomes or how chilly I feel, I’m putting my all into this.”

However, right from the initial assignment, the flaws began to emerge, prompting the reality TV star to share some surprising insights.

The celebrities' initial challenge involved crossing two narrow beams hanging 335 feet above the ground in New Zealand. However, Norris found himself paralyzed with fear and trembling before he could even climb the ladder, resulting in an immediate failure. He later rejoined the other contestants in tears, where he received support and comfort from his fellow stars.

As the episode progressed, Norris's situation didn't improve significantly. He ended up vomiting twice: once while returning from the first challenge and again on the way to the second one.

He ended up being considered the least successful recruit in the program, prompting the instructors to have a private conversation with him to question his motivations for participating in the show.

"I want to feel a sense of pride, whether I manage to conquer my fears or not," he expressed. "My goal is to regain control over my life."

He went on to share how years of online harassment affected him: “Some people went as far as editing my face onto images of violent acts, like beheadings and shootings,” he said. “It was really unsettling and grim.”

He went on to say, “I ended up getting so caught up in using Botox that it felt like I was just wearing a mask. But then one day, I realized it no longer felt right for me.”

The only celebrity who may have had an even rougher experience than Norris was John Barrowman. The Doctor Who actor entered the competition with great confidence, stating: "I want everyone to see the true me."

However, exactly 32 minutes later, after not succeeding in the initial challenge, the celebrity got sick, tore off his identification number, and decided to leave.

After being sick, Mark 'Billy' Billingham suggested to Barrowman that he should see a doctor. Barrowman responded, saying, "No... I’m finished. I understand myself and what I want; this isn’t the right fit for me."

He later shared with The Sun that he decided to leave after feeling sick from some "disgusting tofu" sandwiches.
