Bob Bryar, the ex-drummer of My Chemical Romance, has passed away at the age of 44.

Bryar's remains were discovered in his Tennessee residence on Tuesday, November 26, just two days prior to Thanksgiving.

TMZ reports that authorities do not believe there was any wrongdoing, as his personal items, like musical gear and weapons, were left alone.

The publication reported that the musician's remains were in a state of significant decay.

According to reports, Animal Control showed up at the house after the body was found and took away two dogs from the property.

Reports indicate that Bryar was last seen on November 4th. The investigation into the cause of his death is still ongoing.

Byar was part of the rock band from 2004 until 2010, taking over for drummer Matt Pelisser shortly after the group launched their album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," in 2004.

He was the drummer on all of My Chemical Romance's most popular songs, including the 2006 track "Welcome to the Black Parade."

The drummer from Chicago left the band in 2010, prior to the launch of Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, although he did have a hand in its creation.

At that time, My Chemical Romance released a statement calling Bryar's choice "heartbreaking."

"About a month ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar decided to go their separate ways. This choice was difficult for everyone involved and was not made without serious consideration," the statement said.

"We wish him great success in his future endeavors and hope you all will do the same."

Along with Bryar, the band My Chemical Romance included Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro, and Mikey Way.

Following his collaborations with various bands over the years, Bryar declared his retirement from the music scene in 2014. He then transitioned into a career in real estate and became involved with several dog rescue organizations and animal sanctuaries.

In 2023, Bryar shared on Twitter that he struggled significantly with mental health challenges.

On social media, fans have expressed their condolences for the late artist, reminiscing about his incredible talent and influential time with My Chemical Romance.
