Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar has died aged 44
Reports indicate that Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has passed away. According to sources, he was discovered at his home in Tennessee on Tuesday.
Bob was the drummer for My Chemical Romance for the longest time, joining the band in 2004 just after they released their album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. He stepped in for the original drummer, Matt Pelissier. Bob contributed to the band’s 2006 album The Black Parade and helped with songs for the follow-up to 2010's Danger Days, although he left the band in 2009. His drumming can also be heard on their later release, Conventional Weapons, which came out after the band had disbanded.
After his time with MCR, Bob performed and traveled with various bands. In 2014, he declared his retirement from the music scene and transitioned into a career as a real estate agent.
Kerrang! extends its heartfelt condolences to Bob's loved ones and friends.
