On Friday, Lively gave an update on her Instagram Story. She said that she doubted anyone would care, but she felt it necessary to speak out about a post that made fun of Middleton's use of photo editing.

Lively expressed regret for a post she made during the craze of "photoshop fails". She now feels embarrassed about the post and apologizes for it. She sends love and positive thoughts to everyone. Lively did not mention Middleton by name in her message.

People reported that Lively received a message about a week after she posted an advertisement for her Betty Buzz and Betty Booze drinks. The ad featured a modified picture of her relaxing by a pool while holding a drink.

"I'm thrilled to show you a fresh picture that I snapped earlier today as a way to unveil our four novel items from @bettybuzz & @bettybooze! This is the reason I've been absent lately," wrote Lively in the post that has been removed.

Lively wrote a blog post that seemed to be talking about a photo of Middleton's family shared by Princess Diana and Prince William, which news agencies later removed because it seemed like it had been changed.

Later on, Middleton spoke up about the issue, stating that she sometimes tries out photo manipulation techniques and then said sorry for any misunderstandings caused by the picture.

The latest news from her came after she had a scheduled stomach surgery in January. This put an end to the uncertainty surrounding her whereabouts and involvement in the public sphere.

On Friday, Middleton disclosed that she has commenced chemotherapy treatment in the initial phases. She also mentioned that she and William had been taking some time to adequately brief their three kids about her cancer diagnosis.
