Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have announced the name of their newest addition to the family.

The pair, who tied the knot in 2012, went to the New York City debut of Reynolds' newest movie Deadpool and Wolverine on Monday, July 22. During his address before the showing at the David H Koch Theater, the 47-year-old actor seized the moment to express his gratitude to his spouse and four kids.

I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to my wife, Blake, for being here today. She looks incredible, just a heads up," Reynolds announced onstage with a microphone in hand. "I also want to thank my children - James, Inez, Betty, Olin - for being here as well. I hope that, if I'm fortunate enough, the most shocking experience in your amazing lives will be watching this movie together."

He continued: "I'm so happy that all of my family members are here with me."

The actress from Gossip Girl, aged 36, revealed that she was expecting her fourth child during the Forbes Power Women's Summit in September 2022. She showed off her growing belly on the red carpet, dressed in a see-through, gold sequin-covered short dress. About five months later, Lively seemed to announce the birth of their fourth child on Instagram.

The actress from A Simple Favor posted a picture on the platform. In the photo, she was standing with Reynolds and his mother, Tammy, but her belly was not visible. In February of last year, she wrote in the caption of the post, "Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023. Been busy."

Yet, the couple kept quiet about the name and gender of their fourth child. Lively and Reynolds have three daughters: James, aged nine, Inez, aged seven, and Betty, aged four. Swift, a close friend, revealed their daughters' names on her 2020 album, Folklore, which tells the story of a love triangle involving characters named James, Inez, and Betty.

On a recent episode of the Today show in March, Reynolds playfully talked about how the 14-time Grammy winner is involved in helping choose names for their upcoming baby. Co-host Savannah Guthrie mentioned that she didn't expect Reynolds to reveal the name of their fourth child, but hinted that Swift often gives clues about people in her songs.

"Do you know the name of their fourth child or the baby's name on the latest record?" she inquired to Reynolds. He joked, "We always rely on Taylor to reveal the baby's name. As of now, we are still eagerly waiting."

"She writes a lot. So why are we here? And Taylor is definitely not someone I would call lazy," Reynolds stated.

After Olin was born in February 2023, the actor from Green Lantern talked about getting used to life with a family of six. In an interview with ET Canada at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards, Reynolds shared that adding a fourth child hasn't been as challenging as they thought it would be after already having three children.

He said that going from two to three children was a big change, but adding a fourth was not as significant. He can't speak for his wife, but that's just his observation. Despite the challenges, they both love having a large family and feel grateful for the experience. They wouldn't choose to have more children if they didn't truly enjoy it.

The actor from "Free Guy" also mentioned that he and his spouse have always desired a large family, as they both grew up in big families.

"Yep, I'm from family of four, Blake has five siblings. We're both the babies," Reynolds shared, then light-heartedly teased about his kids. "I haven't actually met them, but they seem like cool kids. They even have an Instagram account that I keep up with."
