Roadworks start today (Monday) on Birmingham Road in Stratford

Birmingham

Don’t forget the 16th of September… because that’s when Birmingham Road takes back its reputation as Stratford’s infamous "road to hell."

As reported in the Herald two weeks ago, after overcoming the difficulties of the Warwick Road project, focus now shifts back to Birmingham Road.

This is the second stage of the renovations taking place, aimed at improving the area between Bishopton island and the Avenue.

The project will be carried out in several phases in that area, and there will be different types of closures implemented.

The initial stage involves navigating from the roundabout to 386 Birmingham Road.

The county council has announced that this route will be designated as one-way only, allowing traffic to enter the town while preventing vehicles from exiting for approximately seven weeks.
