Police have discovered a significant amount of stolen vehicle components at two industrial facilities in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police announced that they conducted a raid on two structures located in the Small Heath region on Friday. The operation was specifically aimed at cracking down on illegal establishments known as "chop shops," where stolen cars are disassembled for parts.

The operation was conducted as a reaction to the recent increase in car parts stolen throughout the city.

Attempts are currently underway to track down the vehicles to which the components originally belonged.
